 | Hamann Thunder tuning BMW 3 Series Coupe | |
 |
After a few days ago we presented the AC Schnitzer GP3.10 here’s another cool tuning program for the BMW 3 Series Coupe, the Hamann Thunder.
Presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the coupe is powered by a modified 5.0 liter V10 engine, that develops 552hp (411kW), sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph). Transmission is made via a seven-speed SMG transmission and the engine’s extra power comes from a new high-flow exhaust system and ECU upgrade.
The car also got a more aggressive body-kit featuring carbon roof, front spoiler and rear diffuser. Hamann engineers fitted the coupe with huge 405mm two slotted and ventilated brake disks and 20 inch forged wheels.

 | Audi S3 tuning by Abt | |
 |
German tuner Abt released a modified version of the Audi S3. The engine got a 45 hp boost, so the 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine now delivers 310 horsepower and has boosted torque from 258 to 310 pound-feet. The S3 goes from 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h (160 mph). Other mods include a sport exhaust system, retuned the suspension and added 19-inch Abt AR wheels.

 | Audi TT gets R8-ified by Niche | |
 | Even though this bodykit for the Audi TT looks very cool, making the coupe look a lot like the R8 supercar, I really don’t see the point in this. I mean, who would do this? Ok, I don’t have enough money to get an R8, but the last thing I would want is people knowing that. I don’t know, it’s like buying a regular Lancer (as Jeremy Clarkson once wrote: everyone will know you wanted the Evo, but couldn’t afford it). The same here.
But, anyway, that’s just my 2 cents. The bodykit was created by tuning company Niche and it features R8 inspired bodykit, lowered suspension, alloy rims and new exhaust tips, all that at £8,800 ($18,500 or €12,600). More photos after the jump.

 | Audi S3 by O.CT Tuning | |
 |
I must say I love the Audi S3 and here’s an extra reason for that: this tuning program from O.CT Tuning. Available at 5,886 Euro or $8,631 the package includes extra performance and a cool body kit.
The engine was modified so it now produces 328 hp and 425 Nm (265 hp and 350 Nm on the production S3) and it makes the car sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds (6.4 seconds for the ‘regular’ S3) and reaches a top speed of 165 mph (265 km/h). This performance boost was possible by using a high-flow catalytic converter developed by HJS, a sports exhaust with an adjustable butterfly valve and new air intake and intercooler.
O.CT Tuning also offers some other goodies for the S3, like a fully adjustable O.CT-coilover suspension (available for 1,499 Euro/$2,200), an 8-piston brake caliper system with 372 mm discs/rotors (3,850 Euro/$5,650), O.CT D7 19 inch alloy wheels (2,440 Euro/$3,580, without tires) or carbon fiber covers for the engine, battery and air intake (from 370 Euro/$542).

 | Audi A5 ‘Thunderbolt’ tuning by MTM | |
 |
The Audi A5 is definitely in my top 5 cars, because it’s simply an awesome car. And here’s a tuning program for the 3.0-litre V6 TDI version, developed by the German tuner MTM, dubbed ‘Thunderbolt’. The V6’s power output was increased from 240 hp to 300 hp and the MTM A5 sprints from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds, while the top speed is 165 mph (265 km/h). The power increase comes from an optimized engine map, with the help of a 3D software, while handling is improved by using a perfectly tuned coilover suspension and 8-piston fixed calipers and 380×34mm semi-perforated brake discs.
MTM also created a body kit for the A5, featuring an S5 radiator grille, a rear lower bumper portion combines with 4-pipe rear muffler and 21 inch MTM “bimoto” wheels, that come in Shiny Silver, Titanium and Diamond Cut finishes.

 | Abt AS4 tuning program for the new Audi A4 | |
 |
My guess would be that the new Audi A4 will become a really important player in the premium mid-size sedan class, even though the competition from the new Mercedes C-Class and the BMW 3-Series is pretty tough. So Abt got to work and created this, the AS4 tuning program for the A4. And they sure did a pretty good job, ’cause it looks great. Exterior mods include new front skirts, new side wings, new rear spoiler and new rear skirt with quad exhausts integrated.
And that’s not all, because Abt also worked on the performances and offers two performance kits, the Abt Power and the Abt Power S. First, there’s the 1.8-litre turbocharged TFSI engine, which develops 160 hp in the production version, but power output is increased to 200 hp and 310 Nm of torque with the Abt Power S kit and 240 hp with the Abt Power S kit. Then, there’s the 143 hp 2.0 TDI unit, which develops 170 hp (Abt Power) and 200 hp (Abt Power S). The 2.7 TDI develops 190 hp (Abt Power) and 230 hp (Abt Power S), while the 3.0 TDI now produces 300 hp with the Abt Power S performance kit.

 | Audi R8 V12 TDI | |
 |
As we’ve announced a few days ago (see the post here), Audi unveiled today, at Detroit, the Audi R8 V12 TDI, a diesel powered version of their high performance R8. Though we love it, so far, the car is just a concept and we’re not sure if Audi will decide to roll it into production. Powered by the V12 TDI with a displacement of six liters, which produces 500 hp and 1,000 Nm (737.56 lb-ft) of torque, the R8 V12 TDI sprints from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 186 mph (300 km/h). The engine is based on the V12 TDI race engine from the R10 race car, which produces over 650 hp from a displacement of 5.5 liters, giving it the potential for a top speed as high as 330 km/h (205.05 mph) depending on the gear ratios.
